A Helping Hand for the Hungry

One of our awesome church members (you know who you are!) has been personally filling up our food box since we placed it in the church. Once it filled up, my wife and boys delivered three bags of groceries to the South Strand Helping Hand, our local food bank.

She filmed a video of the boys dropping it off.

The folks at South Strand Helping Hand are a perfect example of service to others. My boys have been there several times, and every time, they leave with goodies. This time, the ladies gave them each a popsicle and juice box.

All of this makes me beg the question…what are you doing for the poor and hungry in your area?

Here’s an easy way to help. Every time you go to the grocery store, purchase at least one extra item and take it to a drop off point. It can be at our church or yours. Or you could just save it until you get a full grocery bag. Then you can allow God to bless you with the experience of dropping it off yourself.
